Full Bathroom Renovations
Full bathroom renovations from rip out to finished. Waterproofing to Australian Standard AS 4654.2 (the proper way that passes inspection). I work with a good plumber and electrician if you need toilets, bathtubs, vanities, power points moved or installed.
Shower Leak Repair
Finding where water’s getting through, and fixing it properly. Not just slapping silicone over it and hoping. Had three emergency calls this week – water coming through the ceilings. Average response time was 40 minutes.
Waterproofing
This is the most important part of a bathroom renovation. I use proper membrane systems from Mapei, Ardex or Davco, not DIY versions which dont have the durability that professionals use on a daily basis.

My Tiling Process
- Surface Preparation: Clean, level, and prime the area to ensure proper adhesion—crucial for all floor and wall tiling projects in Sydney.
- Tile Layout & Planning: Accurate measurements and layout using laser levels and spacers for perfect symmetry and minimal tile waste.
- Adhesive & Tile Installation: Apply the right adhesive and install tiles (ceramic, porcelain, mosaic, etc.) with precision and consistent grout spacing.
- Grouting & Finishing: Fill joints with waterproof grout, clean off excess, and enhance the durability and appearance of the tiling surface.
- Waterproofing & Final Check: For wet areas (bathrooms, balconies), apply waterproofing membranes and conduct a full quality inspection to meet Australian Standards.
Real Costs Involved
- Bathroom Tiling – Around $2,850 for a standard bathroom. Completed a Chatswood Bathroom 2.5m x 2m, took 3 days, $2,850 all up. That included everything – ripping out old tiles, waterproofing, new tiles, grout, silicone, taking the mess away.
- Kitchen Splashbacks – $450-550. usually Did a Penrith Kitchen which was 4 square metres of subway tiles. Started at 8 am, the customer was cooking dinner that night. $480 total.
- Floor Tiling – Depends on the room. For big jobs, I charge $40-55 per square metre. Small repairs minimum $280 because I still need to drive there, mix up adhesive, etc. Fair’s fair.
- Insurance Work – No upfront payment. I’m approved with NRMA, Allianz, and QBE. Did 47 insurance jobs this year. They know I do it properly, so claims get approved quickly.
